Ouch. It seems fancontrol stops the fans because of the wrong temperature reading, which may damage the hardware because the real temperature is not taken in account :( > Indeed, a few days ago when I ran the battery into the ground, I could > get a temperature reading. Maybe the BIOS is in a bad state after the battery drain? The following sequence may help: - shut down - unplug from AC - remove the battery - wait some time - try to turn it on to force draining of any possibly remaining charge - wait a bit more - install the battery and/or plug the AC - start normaly - pray :) I am out of ideas and don't own that model so maybe someone else who does can chime in?
