Hi, this is most probably due to both eeepc-acpi-scripts and something in your windows environment both handling the volume keys. The way to solve it is to change /etc/defaults/eeepc-acpi-scripts so that FnF_MUTE, FnF_VOLUMEDOWN and FnF_VOLUMEUP are set to 'NONE'. The default will be probably changed to NONE as well in a subsequent version.
