This isn't flame bait, but I wouldn't mind a discussion. I've uninstalled my debian xemacs packages. I've done this for two reasons.
One, because I wanted to run the latest beta version. Two, because xemacs is almost a distribution in itself. It has it's own packaging system that seems to work. Now I don't expect debian to package the last cvs version of xemacs, but if I could have continued to use the xemacs packages and the debian elisp packages within the debian system it would have been a harder decision to make. Would it be possible to have a fake debian package, which once installed would allow me to download and maintain the xemacs package tree, yet provide the dependancies for a debian xemacs package?
