Hi, First, please refer to Bug#232925. Can I assign this bug to emacsen-common?
Emacs20(this package is obsolete as you know) has /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/subdirs.el. But emacs21 doesn't. I think that this file should be included in emacsen-common. Because of this issue, we cannot use `find-function' to the function contained in many emacs packages without having to edit .emacs on emacs21.
