Having come to depend on tramp for secure file transfers, I was sorry
to receive this message.
Is the proposal to orphan a result of a consensus that tramp is
somehow inadequate and not going anywhere or that Jerome is personally
unable to continue with its development?
Are there better alternatives to tramp for doing secure file transfers
within emacs?
Sorry that my response is OT, but perhaps it will help keep the thread
alive.
