Huh?

# apt-cache show emacs-snapshot-gtk
Package: emacs-snapshot-gtk
[...]
Conflicts: emacs-snapshot-nox, emacs-snapshot, w3-el
[...]

You can't have both emacs-snapshot-gtk and emacs-snapshot installed at
the same time. I'm not talking about parallel installation of
emacs-snapshot and emacs21. I'm talking about parallel installation of
the different flavours of emacs-snapshot (i.e. gtk and plain X11, and
now xft, and maybe in the future, gnustep).
