Package: elpa-pdf-tools Version: 1.3.0-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256
I have recently (since 1.3.0? Not 100% sure) noticed an annoying (to me) bug in pdfview. To reproduce: 1) curl --output test.pdf https://arxiv.org/pdf/2602.16649 This is a largish PDF file; I have noticed in several others, mainly, but not only TeX output. 2) emacs -q test.pdf 3) M-x package-initialize 4) M-x pdf-tools-install 5) Rearrange emacs windows so the same buffer is showing in top and bottom window, and the point is in the top window. 6) page down in the top window 7) Observe that the top mode line updates, but the bottom window actually scrolls. Turning on the experimental "pdf-view-roll-mode" for continuous scrolling seems to prevent this problem. That mode is labelled "experimental" by upstream. - -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.18.5+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_CA:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages elpa-pdf-tools depends on: ii dh-elpa-helper 2.1.9 ii elpa-let-alist 1.0.6-3 ii elpa-pdf-tools-server 1.3.0-1 ii elpa-tablist 1.1-1 ii emacs 1:30.2+1-2 ii emacs-common [elpa-let-alist] 1:30.2+1-2 ii emacs-gtk [emacs] 1:30.2+1-2 ii emacsen-common 3.0.8 elpa-pdf-tools recommends no packages. elpa-pdf-tools suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYIAB0WIQS5beC2erx2PFqyC7XhcL+0NDTnAAUCaZeO2wAKCRDhcL+0NDTn AGQ/AP4wH3QkNUmKlnxQ1b1u4niLZcov9h6sJDUyhDweqxYYcQD+Ozp6lwVlQCNA FDqeiN9qzxx3+DZbuXyggYHvZZJjsAw= =0NAt -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
