Hi all,

The Japanese input method package "anthy" is not using dh-elpa and I
have been trying to convert it [1] to using dh-elpa, but no success so
far. Please help.

I followed the wiki and made some changes here [1]. The package builds,
but somehow, *.el files are not installed in the binary package
"elpa-anthy". I also had to write anthy-pkg.el because dh-elpa fails to
generate one. I don't know what is wrong here.

dh_elpa does more than just an Emacs-flavoured dh_install, and I'm not
sure that it will work properly in your
execute_after_dh_auto_build-indep. Have you tried "dh $@ --with elpa"?
It doesn't hijack debhelper and prevent configure, build, and install of non-elpa parts of the source package. See irony-mode for an example of a
package where dh uses cmake as well as dh_elpa:

Ah, "dh $@ --with elpa" works now (but why not before?), but it has an ugly side effect of dh-elpa pulling a lot of dependencies when building even with --no-arch-all, and dh-elpa doesn't support dh-sequence-elpa in Build-Deps-Indep. But I somehow made it work with execute_after_dh_auto_install-indep.

Thanks & cheers,
