Hi all, I would like to thanks all the people who organised the embedded session, and all the people who have participated in the room.
My current projects in embedded: 1. booting a ppc kernel on the voip you've probably seen + BDM access on this mpc850 2. making a first shop of emdeb, and maybe having the linuxap.ksmith.com using emdebian 3. searching for funding to make a cigar board for making cheap (under 100eur) xterminals (I'm looking for a SoC with sound, eth, usb, vga; if you know something nice); if you have 10.000eur to invest in this project, contact me 4. ordering one arm9 devboard in China (100eur) here: http://reseaucitoyen.be/index.php?AT91RM9200 5. building an usb-jtag device with driver for linux I want to raise several questions about emdebian: 1. Does someone has the right options to build gcc from the toolchain source? (/usr/mipsel-linux/bin/ld: cannot open crti.o: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [libgcc_s.so] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/gcc-mipsel-linux-3.2.3.cvs20030221/build/gcc' make[2]: *** [libgcc.a] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/gcc-mipsel-linux-3.2.3.cvs20030221/build/gcc' make[1]: *** [all-gcc] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/gcc-mipsel-linux-3.2.3.cvs20030221/build' make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2 ) 2. Against which version of gcc and uclibc emdebian will be built? It would be nice to have a fixed building environnement, not to try to play with many versions of gcc/uclibc... gcc 2.95? 3.0? 3.2? 3. It would be nice to prepare a package with a UML kernel+gcc+uclibc so has to be completly independant of the root filesystem. 4. create an irc channel #emdebian on irc.debian.org Thanks for your comments, -- Benjamin Henrion <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://bh.udev.org
