I am also of this opinion ( I am not so sure as I am a newbee). But Debian does not have a custom stripped-down kernel with compressed RW fs. Do you know any patch that we could apply to a stock 2.6 kernel? Then, we could modify the Debian beta 3 installer et voilÃ. Cheers, Jean-Michel
