I can only speek for myself. I have to deal with proprietary cross-compiler 
suite (HardHat). As today it should be possible to use dpkg-cross with this 
tools too. As the gccross wrapper uses the cross-compile configuration the 
strip wrapper should do the same. Use the configuration file to determine 
where the right strip application resists and call it.
