Try building modutils as a cross tool
./configure --build=i386-linux --host=i386-linux --target=powerpc-linux
--prefix=.... etc.
then use the depmod built from this
I actually went to the work of incorporating this into my build scripts
before realizing that the busybox script existed. You should ask on the
busybox lists about that script.
