mod_python is a kludge and shouldn't be used anyway. Despite some
bugs it forces you to run the scripts with Apache privileges (as
mod_php etc. also do), which is at least for me a k.O. criteria.

Even if it was slow I strongly recommend FastCGI or SCGI.
