Along linux-image-2.6.32-5-686, there is a new dependency on linux-base: Depends: module-init-tools, linux-base (>= 2.6.32-12), initramfs-tools (>= 0.55) | linux-initramfs-tool Also might be worth to add some of the ^firmware-* packages in the archive as well as firmware-linux-free.
