Hi Sorry for the new thread, but i had problems signing up here, so i dont have the old messages. But i can read Archives :) so here are my 2 :)
> 1. Do we want to have a booth? Yes. > 1.1 What do we want to demonstrate? One Idea: Have one (or more) Systems their and show the Install of Debian. Let the User install Debian and give help, so they can walk through a complete Setup of Debian and if they have Problems they can ask for help. So they can go home with a little knowledge about the Installer. > 1.3 Who will be around? I think about. Just have to find a cheap place to sleep. I can be one of the Guys on the booth (I dont think i can give a talk, not good enough for that :) ) > 1.4 What kind of hardware will be required? I can offer at least 2 i386 Systems. Both are slow P166 with 96MB Ram. But i only have one Monitor. And the Monitor is only 90% ok. :) But i dont have a car so im looking for one who drives to the LT and can take me and my Hardware. Im located in Fulda/Hessen/Germany. One of them can be for Russel Coker: >If someone else can provide the hardware then I'd like to demonstrate SE >Debian. >I'll setup a box with a root password of "1234" and let people try and crack >it. ;) Tell me what you need on it. Or if you need Access to it before LT. I can setup a basic System and then give you full access to it todo whatever you need if you want to have it up and running before LT. If i have a little luck i can get another AMD 450 to run. But im not sure if this old thing is working correct. I switched away from it because i had problems with it, if i remember correct. But i have two AMD450 CPU here, so i try it the next days. With more luck i grab the Notebook from one of my friends, so we can show it runs perfect on Notebooks too. But that has a chance of only 5-10% :) >3. Who will be responsible for the Debian presence? >That's usually my part, but since I'm organizing LinuxTag already, >I will probably not have enough time to organize the Debian >presence entirely as well. Hence, there is need for at least one >assistant, or one person who maintains it on his own entirely. >Anyway, this person needs to communicate with me closely. Oh, i would like to help you, but i have no experience with it... :) BTW: Im very interested in woody T-Shirts, too. :) -- begin OjE-ist-scheisse.txt bye, Joerg Registered Linux User #97793 @ http://counter.li.org end -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
