-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I received a telephone call today from IDG, the organizers of LinuxWorld conferences. Apparently, nobody from Debian had yet requested a booth in the .org Pavilion, they were down to 3 spots left, and the fellow who manages them really didn't want a repeat of the situation in San Francisco where Debian hadn't reserved a booth and yet had lots of people show up expecting to find one.
I agreed to be "the responsible party" and have signed and faxed IDG a copy of the application and contract, so Debian now has a free booth space reserved in the ".org Pavilion" for LinuxWorld, 21-23 January 2004, at the Javits Center in New York City. That means 8x10' of space, power, network access, one 6' table and 2 chairs, plus we'll get a pile of expo passes for the event. I do not know if I'll be attending the event or not, so if someone else would like to take charge of planning Debian's presence in the booth that would be excellant.
