During the testing phase of selling Linux firewalls I do a large amount of scans on the system. In some public available scanners there is an option of doing syn scans with UDP packets. But isn't the concept of udp conectionless communication? Anyway the results out of one of theses tests are always very suspicious and I havent seen one firewall (yet) that doesnt show up on one of these scans. Anybody care to enlighten me??
