Of course there are differences, in the usual sorts of details: where config files are loaded; stuff done for you by the .deb package install scripts; bugfixes and version updates; and so on. The firewalling ruleset itself shouldn't differ, but supporting stuff might vary a lot (not having ever set up an RH firewall, I don't really know). For general information on firewalling, I'd start at one of the Linux Router Project Web sites: http://lrp.c0wz.com . There are many useful links there that are not Debian (or Red Hat) specific. Since LRP is itself derived from Debian Slink, some of the LRP-specific materials you can find by way of this site may be helpful (I've certainly found them so).
