First off don't "BE" a router, that's imposible. Instead turn on bridging
or proxy_arp and have a good laught. After that you can use iptables,
squid, dnsmasq, ect however you like.

No, but there are programs who can. Ssh is good for this, as is two
netcats hooked together.
