I have a cable modem(256KB up/XYZ Down). It is connected to my computer via a 10MB ethernet. I use HTB to emulate Flow-Control, however I still get dropped packets when I... time dd if=/dev/urandom bs=1M count=1024M | nc -u 10.229.128.1 8 To the IP of the first hop in a traceroute. I think I get the same thing when I use TCP with or withought TOS.
I was wondering dose any one know of a cable modem that has ANY type of flow control or notification of droped packets. I can send at full ethernet speeds, if I take of my shapping. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Find out what made the Top Yahoo! Searches of 2003 http://search.yahoo.com/top2003
