Sounds like you want to monitor the traffic (in reals time) istead of accounting it (for later analysis). If you want to know what the current throughput of an interface is tools like 'iptraf' or 'netwatch' my fit. They are no accounting tools but great for monitoring. Also 'sar' and 'dstat -N eth0' come to my mind - -- Goesta Smekal download my gpg public key from: http://www.smekal.at/gpg-public-key -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCkhxpLAKF+YJZq5MRAphjAJwM2zKK4FEdOxE12WTfYRKMzFL0awCeJOA5 bLa8n0f8mVb0Mj809AvgQuQ= =+vo6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
