Yes, I agree that this behaviour change is a bug in g++ 3.0. Making the constructor public is a simple (an incorrect) workaround for g++ 3.0 compilation. You could use #ifdef to keep correct code for g++ 2.95 compilation. It would assure you that the code using this class does not attempt to use the copy constructor. You could then compile with g++ 3.0. -- Laurent.
