Now, if you'd like me to drop this whole thread, and just give up trying to install g++ that's fine. Just email me and tell me "I'm not interested in helping you" you can even throw in some other insults if you like. I'm not asking for miracles from a free product. If you or Matthias are interested in maybe determining what's going on with the package -- or just how screwed up my system is (I don't doubt that at all); I'd be more than happy to do anything I can to provide you with the information you require.
As far as the HTML I replied to the original message which I assumed (yes poor choice) would have replied in the same manner it was received. I was incorrect and apologize profusely.

Try (a) canning the HTML on messages to the BTS and (b) wrapping your messages at a reasonable length.
Matthias explained how to install g++. (In general, use apt to install the specific package instead of a virtual package.) If that doesn't work, then tell us, and show us how it doesn't work. But don't just whine about it; that helps no one.
