please retest with the current gcc-3.0 (3.0.3-1) package from
unstable.

I don't like to mess up my woody with unstable packages. With woody and gcc 3.02 ich get the reported bug. I verified this with a newly installed testbed woody and a vanilla kernel 2.4.17 using my .config

I build also a new sid system for testing with gcc 3.03 and the problem has gone. So i'm looking forward to see gcc 3.03 in the woody tree to retry the tests.
