Package: g++ sword 1.5.3-1 will not build on alpha.
the error is for compiling file src/mgr/swmgr.cpp which includes map templates /tmp/ccKKCGvE.s: Assembler messages: /tmp/ccKKCGvE.s:422: Fatal error: string too big (8871 bytes) full log is http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.php?&pkg=sword&ver=1.5.3-1&arch=alpha&stamp=1018643933&file=log&as=raw tested it on escher and it will build if -g is not in CXXFLAGS. for sword 1.5.3-2 have specified that -g is not to be used for alpha. hth, Daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
