   No, the patch, glibc2.2.6-nice, never went into a release. It
was introduced into the 2.2.5-15 cvs and fortunately hasn't 
migrated into the debian glibc 2.3 cvs yet. I have talked to
HJ about this one since it's his patch. He still likes the
concept but admits it unneccessary to have now with the 
upstream rebuilds of the programs it addresses. As Ulrich
has no interest in adding it into either branch and it
definitely will break portability (I had to rebuild XFree86
when I installed glibc 2.2.92 because I had built it under
glibc 2.2.25-15 cvs) I would steer well clear of it.
