I hope that this is not a question that some FAQ answers, but if it is then I could not find it! I need a version of pthreads that is built with GS segment addressing rather than stack-pointer arithmetic to find pthread-specific state (I understand that glibc 2.2.4 on RedHat is build with this by default for instance).
