To pass the other tests mips needs these patches, which are in glibc CVS already: http://honk.physik.uni-konstanz.de/linux-mips/glibc/patches/ulps-mips.dpatch http://honk.physik.uni-konstanz.de/linux-mips/glibc/patches/tst-rndseek-mips.dpatch Both of them fix things in the tests - not in glibc - so without the above requirement of 'make check' not failing they would be completely pointless.
