Bug#167801: libc6 version in stable distribution (woody) is not 2.2.5 but 2.3.1

Version: 2.3.1

The libc6 version in the stable (woody) ditribution of debian linux is version 2.3.1. This version should be in the unstable path I thing.
The testing tree provides version 2.2.5.
Searching in the debian database of the stable version shows that there should be the 2.2.5 version.
This is not the case for the german ftp-mirror site as far I can see.

I think this lead to some compiling errors I experienced.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.0
