reassign 169098 bind9-host thanks
This is just host, which does it own resolver stuff. I thought it was documented somewhere, but I didn't see it in a quick glance of the host manpage.[root@foo /etc]# grep search resolv.conf search ytti.fi sn.net [root@foo /etc]# host irc irc.ytti.fi does not exist (Authoritative answer)
Try ping. That'll work.
[I use the bind9-host, which I know does this...]
