Well if someone is planning on doing the prelink packages they should be aware that the latest version of prelink is in the new RedHat beta...
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/beta/phoebe/en/os/i386/SRPMS/prelink-0.2.0-15.src.rpm Although they are now using elfutils 0.72 instead of libelf 0.82 it appears to still build fine against libelf. On debian ppc sid, it still passes all of its make check. This really is very simple to package (the only complexity arises from a couple of the system prelink make check tests which will fail if your build machine is already prelinked). Also I don't see this as being that dangerous because although a user can install it from sid no one is forcing them to run it.
