Oops, perhaps not too stupid to look at the correspondence first :-) Looks like you blame it on mutt instead of glibc, so perhaps the bug should be filed against mutt instead. (I can't get anything useful out of mutt's code, though -- it uses too many macros and wrappers for me to try to catch this bug. :-) )
