Package: libc6 Version: 2.2.5-11.2 Severity: minor The man page ldconfig(8) says of ldconfig
... It is normally run automatically at bootup, from /etc/rc, ... However, as far as I can see ldconfig is _not_ run during a standard boot: the command grep ldconfig /etc/init.d/* returns no results. So the man page is misleading, and should be corrected (unless it is decided that ldconfig actually should be run at boot, in which case a change somewhere in the init.d scripts seems to be needed). -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux padua.maths.usyd.edu.au 2.4.19 #1 SMP Tue Nov 5 07:15:32 EST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE= -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
