Next 2.3.1-15. We're making/checking libgcc-compat symbols as you created for ppc. If the test is OK for all archs, then we will go to 2.3.2-1. To be honest, I would like to go to 2.3.2 straightforwardly. However, unfortunately, sarge is still 2.2.5 - we have to stabilize 2.3.1 based glibc in first for sarge. There are a lot of complaints about that glibc is not in sarge. To calm them down, I don't upgrade glibc into 2.3.2 because another bug may be appeared and sarge may become still 2.2.x based.
