The point is that "no longer authenticate me" is really caused by glibc. Which versions do you upgrade from? I guess you also upgrade many packages at the same time including X11. Please consolidate whether it's glibc problem or not. It may be useful to send your upgraded package list. Please recheck this problem, otherwise, I close this bug in the near future if we don't get the same bug report. At least I downgrade this bug from grave to important because you might be able to login your machine via network.
