Hi,
it appears that only shadow passwords using the shadow.byname map are affected: the password.adjunct.byname map works as expected.
(i.e. /etc/passwd: "foo:x:...." convert to -> "foo:##foo:...." and create /etc/passwd.adjunct "foo:XndfJXRkjdhfd:-lo,ad")
