Hello, today i installed the testing deb package of glibc (2.3.2-9) and the mktime patch http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/gnulib/gnulib/lib/mktime.c.diff?r1=1.35&r2=1.36 is still not installed. Now mktime will still not work for dates < 1.1.1970. Could you please apply the patch in the next release of libc6 ? Obviously SuSe 9.0 has the patch installed in their libc6.
