In principle this is the right solution. However, think you should hold off making any more changes until you have discussed the matter with Miquel. I gather that mountkernfs is going to be replaced by a script in the initscripts package which will run at S02. The initscripts package will have to take care of upgrading from all the different ways that libc6 has installed devpts.sh and mountkernfs and it will be easier to do that if libc6 isn't trying to move things around at the same time. I have already discussed this briefly with Miquel.
