There is ISO/IEC C++ 14882:2003 these days. This should be fixed (but I have not confirmed yet). BTW, if compiler does not support 64bit type on 32bit architecture, how to represent __off64_t? So I'm sure I think it's problem, but we don't complain to glibc. If you have no objection after your checking about newer ISO/IEC C++ standard, I would like to close this bug.
