This bug has been reported. Please check BTS before submitting bugs. Yes, it's useful, so I have plan to add it. Memusage and so on depends on libgd1, so it needs a new package (or it should be part of libc-dbg?) for satisfying dependency. Currently we're base-freeze, so it'll be happened after sarge.
