Package: glibc-doc
Version: 2.3.2.ds1-10
Severity: minor

/usr/share/info/ contains libc.info-*.gz files numbered from 1
to 61. However, only files 1 to 10 are actually needed. This
can be seen from three things:

* The Indirect section of libc.info.gz lists only the first ten
  files.

* Each of the first ten files is over 50000 bytes long and has a
header saying "produced by makeinfo version 4.6". The other
files are all smaller than 16000 bytes, and their headers say
  "produced by makeinfo version 4.2".

* zgrep "Node: Formatted Input Functions" /usr/share/info/libc.info-*.gz
shows the same node in both libc.info-3.gz and libc.info-19.gz.

Please remove the unnecessary files.

In 2.3.2.ds1-17, the number of files is reduced from 61. I think this
bug is already fixed in the latest glibc. I close this bug. Thanks
for your report.
