This bugs can probably be closed. The problem was because the permissions on some files under /dev were wrong (not sure which ones). I presume that they are wrong on base2_1.tgz, and this is normally corrected by the boot disk (which I haven't used). -- Brian May <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
