Hi... Granted, I'm using an SX, but I think I know what the problem is: your kernel rev. Try upgrading to 2.2.5 or 2.2.13 and see if that fixes your problem. There have been MANY changes in the RTC code and glibc 2.1.2 is really meant to be run under 2.2.x kernels. I should have a tester with a multia soon, but too far away from now to make a difference here.
Once you boot under a new kernel, see if you can reproduce it and get back to me (and cc the bug # like I did above). C
