I disagree - the problem occurs when upgrading. Upgrading from slink means
that the readlink utility will be there if tetex-bin is installed. apt
will always upgrade the libc before tetex since tetex depends on the new
C library.

This does not help.

I wonder if this might break some scripts of the tex packages.

I think the postinst should make sure the right readlink is called 
(by calling it with its full path for example).
