libc6 2.2.5-14.3: ld lacks symbols

Hello,

I just tried to setup an Oracle 8.1.7 instance. That failed because
/lib/libdl.so.2 has no symbols in it:

        $ nm /lib/libdl-2.2.5.so
        nm: /lib/libdl-2.2.5.so: no symbols

Can you fix this in the next release of libc6?

If this is the wrong way to fix bugs -- how shall I do?
