Package: libc6 Version: 2.3.1-6 Any program that uses the resolver to get a hostname causes the program to Seg Fault. So far I've noticed wget, curl, and apt-get as being affected. They work fine when I use IPs instead of hosts. I'm running sid (unstable) on a Pentium/MMX 233MHz, and Linux v2.4.21pre1-preempt. Downgrading to 2.3.1-5 solves the problem.
Note, I have another similarly configured system using 2.3.1-6 and it seems fine.
