Doing a "dpkg-reconfigure locales", locales doesn't mention at all
what exactly it is.
It simply says
You can choose locales to be generated by selecting locales you want.
Selected locales will be saved to `/etc/locale.gen' file. You can also
manually edit this file. You need to run `locale-gen' after edit the
file.
Select locales to be generated.
I just had a newbie noticing that there's no explanation of the
purpose of locales (or the locales package) here at all.
You might want to fix that (yeah, the available space is pretty short,
but still...).
Have a nice day !
