Package: libc6 Version: 2.3.2.ds1-17 Followup-For: Bug #222130 I noticed that a patch was provided for the nsswitch problem
I run a debian SID and notice that valgrind still reports the problem on above version of libc6. I read the report that came with the patch and checked the config of my /etc/nsswitch.conf file. Noticed that the db (libnns_db) was referred in the config but was not installed (no longer standard with libc6 but in speparate package). Removing db from the configfile and the error goes away which confirms the patch posters' remark. However the above version apparently does not contain the patch (yet ?).
