This is perhaps off-topic, but I thought I'd append it to this bug. On x86, sin() has poor precision near PI, and cos() has poor precision near PI/2, according to http://www.naturalbridge.com/floatingpoint/intelfp.html This would appear to be a hardware bug rather than one in libc though.
