Package: libc6 Version: 2.3.2.ds1-21 Severity: important When upgrading libc6 it checks for other installations of libc on the same system. Unfortunately it does not distinguish between the amd64 and x86 versions and stops the installation although no real conflict would have resulted since the conflicting version is x86 and not amd64.
Possible solution: check each found libc.so on file type with "file": x86: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), stripped amd64: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), stripped -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-10-amd64-k8-smp Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages libc6 depends on: ii libdb1-compat 2.1.3-7 The Berkeley database routines [gl -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
